Discount given on an account now I must pay more

A few weeks ago a responsded to an old email I got with regards to a Bill I have from the Dentists at Medicross Edenvale. I have been in financial ruin in the last few years and was not in a position to pay. My mother had a stroke and ever since I have been responsible in paying all her bills etc as she can not work. I am battling to make ends meet especially with the fact that I have2 small children. I emailed Violet and stated I was sorry for not paying this sooner but if she could offer me a discount. She did and told me to pay into their accounts after which she would sent me a paid up letter. I paid. Then i got a response todat stating after i paid that actually this account was handed over to VVM and i am liable to pay their costs from date of hand over. I feel that Violet should have told me this in the begining and told me it was handed over and that I should contact them. She gave me wrong information and tricked me into paying and now holding me liable for more payments. I do not think this is right or fair. I was assured that this was the dicount i was getting i have this in writting. But now they can not honour this, i think ite Medicross mistake to pay.
