These people hire people and expect them to work overtime without pay, they don't give employment contracts or letter of employment, my husband was so exhausted working for these people as an Executive Head Chef that he accidentally burnt his arm.(he has the scar to prove this)... he demanded his contract as they kept promising it to him without any feed back... he had to walk out of this job for lack of proof of income... they couldn't even tell him how much he was getting paid per hour... no lunch breaks or tea breaks... so many people are complaining about this Hotel using people to work like slaves... they serve Indian curries but our Indian friends say their food... we have reported them to the Labour Department, but still feel that something else needs to be done to stop these people!!! Its not right!!! ISLAND HOTEL ISIPINGO we feel they need to put a proper HR Manager in place to sort out their labour department properly and stop using people... they just making a bad name for themselves.
