I bring to your attention the poor service of the switch board operator at Melomed Mitchells Plain, Vanessa Daniels.
I was looking for a paediatrician for my 1 year old daughter. It was a Friday afternoon at about 3 o clock. I know there are 3 paediatricians and was looking for any Doctor that would be available at that time. I asked her to give me the direct contact number in case I got cut-off, and then to put me through to a Doctor and she obliged. At this point her tone was clipped, as if I was bothering her. My call was not answered and I was redirected back to switchboard. I asked Vanessa the direct contact number and to put me through to the next doctor. She actually sighed before giving me the number. My call was again not answered and I was redirected to switchboard. When she answered she said Dr Adam had probably left already, so I was going to ask her to put me through to the last doctor, but she put the phone down in my ear.
The next occasion was last Thursday the 13 June 2013, while on duty, and enquiring about another patient, she was again abrupt and put the phone down in my ear. Her ugly attitude can not be tolerated!!
