I'm so disappointed in the staff of the Daddy Long Legs Hotel in Long Street. Ten minutes after checking out, I realised that I had forgotten my mobile phone in the room. My partner called it and it rang, he then went back to the hotel to get it. We had left the room door ajar after checking out and noted that a cleaner was busy on that floor. After he went back, he got the key from reception and found the door locked. Although the room hadn't been touched yet, he looked for the phone everywhere it could possible be, with no success. In the meantime it had also been switched off! We not trying to point fingers, but what are we suppose to think? What are we suppose to make of this? Clearly the staff are not to be trusted? Maybe its unfair to paint everyone with the same brush, but when the receptionist tells you that the cleaners have worked there for 7 years as a way of saying its unlikely its them-what am I to think? We have more vouchers for this particular place and can we blame our reluctance to use it?? Still awaiting feedback re-the missing phone, because apparentky it needs to be escalated to the hotel management team. Let's see what gets done
