Bongani Regional Hospital
Lack of basic medical protocol

On 31 August 2013, my aunt Kedibone Mosia was sick and we called the hospital for an ambulance as her condition was at its worst.
Let me eloborate, my aunt could not speak nor was she able to move due to diabetes.
The ambulance we called at 8:45, only arrived at 11:00, one of the paramedics lacking a basic skill of giving her a drip.
We arrived at the hospital at quarter past 11 where she arrived to the casualty ward.
What happens from 11;30 up to the time she was admitted in C-mix ward, can only be described as disgusting.
A certain Dr Khabane was only concerned with the fact that her shift ended at 1pm.
My aunt, urinated on herself and dried without anyone taking any consideration of this. we were only recieved with attitude and lack of care, the same doctor when asked why my aunts doesnt have a urinary catheter, her reply was that "ha na yona hae mos" loosely translated, she doesnt have it at home
i am beyond livid by the non-chalant attitude the nurses had about my aunts condition when, as i stated before. my aunt could not speak.
my aunt recieved medical attention when the 7pm nurses arrive as they were the only ones who had basic human decency to hear our complaint.
