I am the grandmother of Isabella Raven Carla de Beer, (28 months), who is the Goddaughter of Mrs Riana Grobler.
Mrs Grobler is with Fedhealth, and she wants to put Isabella on her Medical Aid, paying the fees.
We have struggled with this since the beginning of 2013, filling in forms, and getting absolutely NOWHERE.
Every single time they require something new, and they are not very helpful. In the mean time, this child can get sick or something can happen to her, and the she is not covered on a medical aid.
The latest requirement is a letter from the COURT stating that Mrs Grobler is the Godmother, but after we've been to the court 2 times, they assured us the letter is correct (the court), but STILL the medical aid doesn't want to accept it. They simply say it is "only" an affidavit. But they won't tell us what it is they really acquire, so that we can be clear on what to ask from the court.
Now they say they want a letter from the welfare. We feel like criminals by now.
It is as if they are looking for any excuse not to put this child on Mrs Grobler's medical aid.
I think this attitude (lack of service) is simply not acceptable.
