Be aware of horrible return policy

I bought some alarm equipment on the 4th of April from Communica Midrand. Among the equipment I bought was 2 PIRs. When I bought the PIRs they where all stacked on the same rack, all with exactly the same packaging. When I got home I realized that one of the PIRs was the wrong model. I took it back today to get it replaced/swapped for the correct model, and to buy some extra equipment I needed to finish the job. This is where the nightmare started.

The obviously have to test to one which I want to swap (Even though the packaging was still sealed), BUT what they don't say on the till slip is that they don't have an onsite technical team who can test it. They have to send it away for - 3 weeks before they can even think of replacing it for the correct model, which is absolutely ridiculous. The scary part is the value of the PIR is only R124. Needless to say, I left without replacing the unit and without the extra equipment. It just shows, its not always worth it to go for the cheapest option. Next time I would rather pay more and get good service when I need it.
