Having had no joy from Audio Excellence in Umhlanga Ridge (Refer to Audio Excellence Complaint). I rang the distributor for Denon and queried the fault with regards my Denon DSD 500. I was initially told by Craig that if there was no lightening involved, they would be happy to replace my unit. I was then rang by the 'MD' Alex Brady who informed me that the damage WAS caused by lightening despite what I said and that they would not be willing to replace the unit and at a push they would repair/replace the power supply. But in his words, when it failed again it would be a matter of 'I told you so' . Now that is what I call customer service. I await the return of the unit with it's replaced power supply but would NEVER deal with these characters again. And I feel sorry for anyone who has to, particularly when something goes wrong, remember then that it will be YOUR fault not theirs.
