I just want to warn anyone out there who has been dealing with Smart Electronics, with a guy named Reuben (sales rep).
I tried to purchase a TV from Reuben, within a few hours of confirming my intention to purchase, i received an invoice with full details, entire invoice looked legit. Only after making the payment which was essential to be made the following morning did i check the VAT and Company registration number- Both were fake. I received a tracking number and shipping form from a so called company " Gouws Delivery services" which is also a fake company that has cannot be located on any search engine. Included in the swift purchase was a 24 hour delivery of the TV, the next day as expected no TV arrived.. Monday came and still no goods, so i decided to phone the shipping company, ( who is supposed to be an international company but has only a SA cell number), there i find out that my "good" are in Capetown and require and additonal R3600 import duty to be released. Reuben then issues me a fake letter of agreement to reimburse me for shipping costs due to lack of funding.
Luckily i managed to withdraw my transaction and i was not. Please take caution.
