Samsung Laptop RV510 purchased April 2010 and mobile Samsung galaxy pocket bought on contract in November 2012.
Both these purchases were bought in good faith as I considered the Samsung name a guarantee of good quality. The laptop is a means of generating income as I write website articles and since October 2012 it has been out of order with hard drive malfunctions. Regardless of following all instructions I have experienced persistent hard drive failures and have been unable to use it. This has lead to a three month loss of income.
The phone worked properly for about 2 weeks and then started giving a 'not connected to network' notice when ever I tried to use it. All my incoming calls went straight into voicemail which also caused immense problems as I never got any of those calls. Repeated visits to vodocom lead to me buying a new SIM card as well as having to download software updates on a supposedly brand new mobile phone. Finally it went to the workshop and I received it back today. Time will tell wether it is working.
I am a pensioner and find this equipment failure irritating as well as extremely inconvenient. I need a dependable mobile.
