We are obviously extremely concerned that our son received an Ungraded result for Mathematics, Business Studies and English, our concern is not emotional but analytical based on the following:
1 He has during his school career always achieved passing results. In addition in 2012 he completed Business Studies with a C result and Mathematics with an F result in Ghana based on the British International AS Level presented in Ghana.
2 As the university requirement is that he must have five subjects with a minimum C and D result from one examining body, we therefore enrolled him for all his subjects with BIC in an endeavour to improve his results especially his Mathematics and achieve the five subjects C-D from one examining body.
3 While back in South-Africa in November 2012 we invested heavily in private tutors from BIC to prepare him for the first four subjects, from all the previous examination papers completed his tutors advised that he was ready for the examination and we expected C-D results based on his preparedness.
4 He then obtained 88% an A for Afrikaans and an unmarked (less than 25%) for his other 3 subjects?
