Termination of Child Attendance

I've requested the school to terminated my son attendance at the end of September due to my financial situation.
The school told me I will still pay the school fees for 3 months because notice of cancellation is 3 months.
I've asked if that's the case why my son classmate was enabled to leave the school without serving the 3 months notice...
I'm yet to get an answer for this.
I feel victimised by this school because I'm a single parent raising a child with disabilities.
