No feedback for 5weeks

I applied for admission on the 2nd April 2013, paid my application fee and submitted my documents. I have not received any feedback regarding my application for the past 5 weeks. When you call the admissions office the gentlemen will tell you that they have until end of May to let one know about your application. How should one budget if you don't get any feedback??
