Unisa
Late textbooks

I would like to register a complaint about Unisa's international correspondence program. I registered for my course in January 2013 with the promise that my text books would arrive in February, latest March in time for my first assignment. I was made aware in February that there was difficulty with the postage but that I could access some of the textbook online. I managed to do my first assignment but my marks were severely affected by the lack of a textbook. I contacted student services via email and they are yet to reply, 2 months later.

I only received textbooks 3 and 4 two weeks ago, and then the previous week I received book 2. Five months later and I am still waiting for book 1, which is essential for both my second and third assignment.

I have been unable to turn in my second assignment because I did not have access to this textbook. When I contacted my lecturer [insert name] to find out if there was another textbook that I could use as a reference guide, she told me that there wasn't but that I had to turn in my assignments on time; there was an utter failure to offer me help or even an extension until my textbook arrives.
