We had work done at our house incl painting 2 boundary walls/ bathroom alterations/ roofing/ minor wooden floor repair. The initial scope was 2w- they started here in May 2013 and eventually finished end Sept 2013- they dropped off a single worker 90% of the time left to his own devices without any monitoring even at pick-up. we paid a lot of money and our roof is still leaking (over R14000 spent), walls started cracking in Nov already (over R7000 spent on a small area), tiles were broken and patched up with grouting in an area they thought we would not notice, floor still has a hole in it. Totally not up to standard- they make promises and one has to phone them constantly whilst the job is on to find out when they're coming and if they're coming. And during this time we found out one of our little girls had cancer and they asked what they can do? to which i replied please just finish and carry on- instead they stayed away for 3 weeks after my request.
