My mom went into Agrimark to purchase a swimming pool for me. On bringing the pool home I took the pool outside to assemble it and the top inflatable piece must have a slow leak as it would not inflate. In desperation I loaded the pool into my bakkie and drove down to the local garage. We pumped the inflatable part and folded the pool back up in my vehicle. I brought the pool home and low and behold by the time I got it home, it had deflated.
In the interim, my mother phoned and subsequently went into Agrimark Sandbaai to explain that I lived 200km round trip from Sandbaai and she wanted to determine how we could resolve the matter. Instead of providing exemplary customer service and a knowledge of consumer law in this country, my mother was told "WE DONT GIVE REFUNDS".
I telephoned AGM Sandbaai and was told the same thing. Today I went in and spoke to the Manager Jarrod who did not want to refund me. I ended up having to pay an additional R800 as there were no replacement pools of the same value. Jarred was rude, unhelpful, and had a seriously bad attitude and acted like he was doing me a favor. I will never set foot there again. So much for customer service!
