Woke up to a burst pipe, found the first plumber on the internet (Very bad move) called them at 9 to be told that someone would be there in the morning, after numerous calls I kept getting told that they are on the way. They eventually arrived at 16:00. As the pipe was underground they said they would need to do a test which I agreed to. The office then phoned to say it would all cost R1700.00 which I thought was a little steep but they did need to dig and find the leak, so I agreed they then wanted my credit card details which I gave them and before I put down the phone it had gone off my account. When I went outside to ask when they would start, they said NO that was the price for the detection and the other work would be about R4000. I was furious needless to say... a friend recommended her plumber and he did the whole thing for R800!!! you have now been warned!!! When I phoned and complained and said that I felt it was bordering on and miss leading they did not seem to concerned.
