I don't even know where to start on this. I hired Expo roofing to respray my roof and to sand, prime and cover my fascia boards with plastic coverings, to prevent the need to repaint them every few years. The price was not cheap.
The fascias were given a once over, literally. There were still huge pieces of old paint peeling off them, where I thought they would at least sand them down properly. They just primed straight over this and not over the corners which were rotting already. These sections were supposed to be cut off and replaced. They tried to avoid doing this at every opportunity and only did as I asked when I spotted these shortcuts, and then only in the spots I specifically pointed out. The plastic coverings were not cut to fit if too long, and just hang over the edge. Where they were too small, they were simply stuck on, leaving big gaps between the plastic and half primed wood. The nails they used are already rusted, leaving streaks.
There was a hole in the roof I asked them to fix as well, this was not done. They painted over the roof with what looks like a very thin coat, even leaving the edges unpainted. They made no attempt to treat and rust spots they found.
