I employed them to renovate my home. They insisted I pay them a 25% deposit before they could start which amounted to R107000.00. I paid them R50000.00 in December to book them to start on the 28th Jan 2013. They arrived on site on the 28th, dropped all their equipment but would not start without the balance being R57000.00 which I duly paid. They worked on site for exactly 6 days, effecting R22000.00 rands worth of work. When I arrived home on the Monday afternoon, all of their equipment had been removed from site and they informed me via email the next day that they would not return without a further R216000.00 deposit into their account. I never saw them again. When the new builders eventually started they discovered that some of the plug points put in by these two were just dummies, not to mention the rest of the work which was a complete disaster. When I lit the first fire in the fire place which they'd built, the fire place cracked right down the front. When we opened it up to investigate we found a hollow inside filled with paper packets and all the old bits of paint which they had stripped from the walls with a live electrical cable running through it.
