Frustrated client

Set up an email with Yahoo many years ago (2004) but have not used it for at leat two years now. My contacts from this list have been spammed and getting various spam emails. When I try to log into my EX-inbox, it won't let me. I KNOW the password is correct etc.
When i try the help facility, it won't show me how to DELETE or DEACTIVATE the account - obviously I can't log into the acc because it WON'T LET ME!!
Gives me option of security questions which ARE SO OUTDATED - asks me where met spouse - I'm divorced since then and can't remember what I wrote - so long ago.
There is NO TELEPHONE number on ANYof their web pages so that I can speak to an ACTUAL PERSON about this. I NEED TO DO THIS because I don't want my contacts to receive spam etc. Someone has hacked into this account and is messing around with the contacts!! Who knows if the next spam that is sent will not be INAPPROPRIATE or worse (!!!) and my contacts will think it's from me!!!
Action required please!!! from some technician at Yahoo!
