I gave my chev 1500 bakkie to American workshop for repairs. The quote was R56000-00 and R40000-00 paid up front as a deposit. Completion in 3 months. After countless calls to Arie and a few trips from Durban to JHB to my shock hardly anything was done to it. After 2 and a half years and a bill of R150000-00 i received delivery to durban at my cost for a butchered van. Upon inspection Arie fitted inferior quality parts. Upon delivery a new battery was suppose to be fitted (old secondhand one fitted instead) American workshop fitted a new starter motor but it was completely burnt out. Suppose to fit on race spec injectors but i got secondhand stock injectors instead (i have a full page list of inferior parts fitted but charged OVER agents price for apparently high quality parts) If anybody else has been taken for a ride by American workshop please contact me on 0823786866
