I had to move to Melkbosstrand in December. Distance 14 km. I was asked to complete an inventory form with them in order to supply me with a quote. Which I did, I added items to the list that I ended up selling BEFORE I moved, so the items even less. The day the truck loaded my possessions, I was told that everything did not fit into the 4 ton truck and they had to come back a second time for the rest BUT I had to pay for a second load!!! WHAT?? I was truly upset because why did it not all fit? I do not consider myself having more than average possessions so why did they send a truck knowing full that all my things would not fit in it? We had to make 6 trips ourselves after the move to get all our things to the new address. I was told by the receptionist that they only had 4ton trucks and this is just they way the work. I was not allowed to speak to a manager! I feel that this is unfair towards the consumer. They are the professionals, they ASK for an inventory - why? To my knowledge an inventory is an indication of how many square meters your things will take up and your are charged according to this. I will NEVER use or recommend Express to anyone!
