Yesterday evening, I stopped at a Engen Service Station in Randburg on Oxford Street to buy Pre-paid Electricity. I had my meter number in hand and I wanted to give it to the Shop Attendant so I would be issued with a receipt with my voucher number. Instead the shop attendant insisted that she would not require my meter number and she would rather issue me with a reciept which had some instructions I would need to follow.
I then paid for the electricitiy and she issued me with the receipt baring the instructions. When I got home I followed the instructions only to receive an sms stating that my Municipality does not support my meter number. Now baring that I live in Northriding I had to drive back all the way to the Engen in Randburg on Oxford just to try and sort this issue out.
To get greeted by a rude Shop Assistant (Samantha) who told me the issue was not her problem and I would have to deal with it without getting even so much as a refund for a purchase that clearly had no use for me. I am a regular client of Engen as I always prefer to fill my car up at Engen as opposed to other Service Stations. I am highly annoyed by this! I want my money back! please assist!
