I bought this car from BMW "premium" selection from Lyndhurst auto back in 2008 April (it had roughly 14000km on the Odometer).
Since then, the amount of failures on the car parts can only be classified as unacceptable.
Major problems;
1/. Ignition coils failure 2008-07-28 (4 months after I took ownership).
2/. Blower output failure 2009-05-15
3/. Ignition coils failure AGAIN!!! 2010-08-02
4/. Radio system failure 2011-03-22
5/. Cockpit wiring incorrect 2011-06-30 (the steering wheel gave off smoke at one stage!!!)
6/. Vane/Tandem pump/electric pump leaking 2011-06-30
7/. Starter permanent failure 2011-06-30
8/. Vacuum pump / drive unit leaking 2011-06-30
9/. Cylinder head cover gasket leaking 2011-06-30
10/. Complete clutch stick-slip 2012-08-24
11/. Alternator/Shaft starter motor Generator 2012-08-24
This list excludes minor electronic problems I had.
I do not abuse my car and still all these problems, Now at -84000km on Odometer???
Surprise surprise, Ignition coils packed up AGAIN among other things. It is in for repairs again today (for more than 10k). Save yourselves the trouble and stay far away from BMW.
