I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Vengai at your Engen in Kloof street, Cape Town.
My friend walked out without taking her R164 change after buying a box of cigarettes at the store on Wednesday night at about 10pm.
As we were on our way to long street we quickly got into a taxi and left.
Only while buying drinks at a bar she realized what had happened.
At about 11:30pm we went back to the engen to explain what had happened but not expecting anything to come out of it as it had been some time since we were there and in this day and age - money is money and everyone wants it.
To our surprise this employee had saved the R164 in a bank ziploc bag for us in hopes that we would return!
He deserves praise for being a stand up member of society and for doing the right thing!
This act of kindness has restored my faith in humanity a little bit.
I think he deserves a well done and some recognition!
I took a photo of him so I wold not forget this good act of kindness.
