Kia Motors South Africa
Non compliance to repai

Kia Cerato Automatic 2L
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Paarden Eiland and Kia SA.
On Tuesday 05th February 2013, my car lost power while driving on the N1 in CT. I could not exceed 2500 RPM. I took the car to the closest Kia dealership - Paarden Eiland. Mr Abdulla Kader informed me after two days that the computer packed up and that the cost will be R50 000.
I left the dealership on Friday 08th under the impression that the process of obtaining authorisation from KIA SA was in progress. It was not done.

On Tuesday 26th February 2013 (14h00), after many attempts to get hold of Mr Kader, he informed me that the parts will cost R 20 000 and that KIA SA refused to authorize the claim. He also stated that they are busy negotiating with the representative from KIA SA to have the part repaired as opposed to replaced.
Therefore, resolution of my problem has been drawn out over an extended period, the repair / replacement prices have varied greatly, and follow-up in general by the dealership and Kia SA was poor.
04/03/13 - Email to CEO of Kia SA. His PA relied that matter was forwarded to Sharoma Tzolowa. Still no reply.
