I was in a bumper bashing a while back and Outsurance only has one approved repairer of my vehicle brand in the east of Pretoria. Being guided by Outsurance, I made arrangements to have my car repaired by Van Zyl's.
Marissa from Van Zyl's was very friendly on the telephone and we arranged for me to bring the car over at 16h30 on the Friday afternoon, 11 January 2012. She advised that this was the time that they would be closing, so we agreed to make it a quick drop-off. Ducking out early at the office myself, I raced to get to Van Zyl's, and arrived there exactly on 16h30, just to find Marissa and Andre outside a locked-up office.
Andre rudely pointed into the alley next to the building and said I should park and leave my car there behind the perimeter gate over the weekend. This was right next to the big roller door to their massive workshop building, but he flatly refused to let me park my car securely inside, stating that it would be too much effort for him to open the roller door for me. Expecting me to leave my car exposed to the wind and weather and clearly visible from the street.
Andre's attitude and lack of concern for my car's safety was shocking. I didn't leave my car.
