FOLLOW UP ON TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT “SERVICE” FROM TRI RIC MOTORS
As it became quite clear that Andrew was simply not going to carry out his promises and obligations to legalize the sale of the vehicle, I had to take the matter into my own hands and asked my cousin in Gauteng to act on my behalf. He reported that after inquiring at the local traffic authorities they would need the original registration certificate (in my possession) and the Name and Address of the previous owner.
My cousin contacted Andrew, who claimed TriRic Motors bought the vehicle from a “wholesaler” and that TriRic did not bother to transfer the vehicle into their name upon purchasing it before trying to sell it on!
Furthermore, Andrew did not have the previous owner’s details. He made a promise to my cousin to obtain these details by the 18th April. No surprise when Andrew yet again failed to act on his promises.
My cousin paid a visit to the dealership on the 18th April and discussed the matter with Andrew and the Owner of the dealership. Both the owner and Andrew then assured my cousin that they would see to the matter and have all outstanding licence fees brought up to date by the latest on Friday 20th April.
Needless to say NOTHING was done by Friday. Neither myself nor my cousin received any communication regarding the matter from TriRic Motors.
On Monday 23rd April my cousin again contacted Andrew, who stated the matter would be finalized by Tuesday (24th April)
On that Tuesday I personally telephoned Andrew to enquire about progress and was shocked at the arrogant and lax and basic couldn’t care attitude I received from him.
Clearly he is NOT interested in carrying out his obligations in this matter and I am absolutely astounded that he remains in employment when he deliberately ignores the customer and fails to legally conclude the sale of the vehicle. His deliberate obfuscation, false promises, total incompetence, unprofessional behaviour and obnoxious attitude aside…he is a liability to a company, which prime concern is the legal buying and selling of motor vehicles. Furthermore there was no follow-up or any action taken by management at Tri Ric Motors. This total unprofessional approach to business is also reflected in the many other complaints and disputes by irate and frustrated customers which I am attaching to this report.
Five weeks after purchasing the vehicle from Andrew at Tri Ric Motors, I still cannot legally register the car in my name as a direct result of the total incompetence, lack of performance and lack of professionalism from this “business”
At further expense I have had to courier registration papers to Gauteng and at great sacrifice of working hours’ time my cousin has finally had the outstanding licence fees settled with the traffic authorities. All of this unnecessary, frustrating and time wasting effort could have been avoided if employees such as Andrew simply did their job!!! I have no hesitation in warning the general public…stay away from Tri Ric motors.
