I booked car hire online under booking reference 0570-3724-ZA-5 on 24 Dec 2013 and was issued a prepaid voucher. In January I wanted to extend the booking and called the call centre (0861021111) on 4th January 2014 at 8:58am to modify the booking and the call centre agent advised that I had to do so online. When I went online to modify it advised that I had to cancel the booking and rebook, with booking number 0657-9026-ZA-6. I did so. I was given a new reference. When I went to collect the vehicle I queried this with the service agent at the branch who gave me a form to fill in and the form for the refund was sent to someone name Sifiso. This was on 8th January 2014. I have heard no word as to the refund. The agent also advised that there was a R300 cancellation fee, which I was not advised of. I did not want to cancel the booking, I wanted to modify the booking by extending it. I have not yet been refunded for the prepaid voucher and do not feel that I should be liable for the cancellation fee where I had no other choice.
