Lousy service, no courtesy money grubbers

I came across a biker trying to flag down passing motorists at the intersection of Oliewen Avenue and Transoranje Road yesterday afternoon. As a fellow biker myself who has suffered a punctured tyre, I pulled over to assist if I could. The poor guy had run out of fuel. We scrounged up an empty 2 litre cool drink bottle and I went to the nearest service station to purchase some fuel. The attendant refused to sell me the fuel if I intended to fill it in the aforementioned bottle despite my explaining that it was just temporary storage measure and the fuel would be put into the bike a few hundred metres down the road. He was adamant that if I wanted the fuel, I would have to purchase another 5l plastic container from the service station at a cost of R26.00

Feeling very frustrated at that point, I demanded to see the manager who refused to come outside.

I prefer refuelling all my vehicles at Shell service stations, but I will never visit this one again. I still cannot get over the lack of courtesy or human compassion. After all I was NOT asking for free fuel, I was paying for it in order to help someone who desperately needed assistance.
