I hired a camper van from these people and drove to Gariep Dam, 2 days into the trip the camper van broke down and wouldn't start. I phoned Bobo Campers and they sent a mechanic to check the problem, the mechanic said that it was the immobilizer and but it would take 2 weeks to get the parts to fix it and that the only way to get the car to start would be to pull out one of the electrical plugs in the engine, stick copper wire into it and spark it on the battery terminal. Bobo Campers then phoned me and said that the mechanic would show me how hot wire the car and that they felt that this was a satisfactory solution to the problem!
I explained that it was not good enough, it's bad enough that you expect a paying customer to start a rental car like that and also that it was not safe to drive the vehicle for 7 hours in that state incase it broke down on the side of the road again. Even the mechanic advised me not to drive it back like that. I told them that they had 2 days to fix the camper properly or I would be forced to leave it at the caravan park. They did not fix it and I left it there. Not only did I not even get an apology but they had the nerve to charge me an extra R4000!!!
