I am interested in the Renault duster 4x4. Upon calling in at dealer to discuss trade in value of my vehicle the following took place. An assesor took my vehicle keys and invited a collegue of the dealer for a ride. While my vehiclel was away for 30 mins the sales person was agitated and apologised for the delay as there is only so much time can be spent on the featuers of the new vehicle and eventualy had to continue with their desk work. I waited and my car eventually arrived. The sale person called later to tell me they will offer 125 k for my car..The following is my issue and after requesting an explanation at 3 x multifranchise dealers i cannot get a response. My car is in very good clean low km etc and has a book value with Mead Mc growter of 155K. I was offered 160 and 165 k at two independant dealers. So the car would reatil around 200k i would imagine.. So if multifranchise were offered book value of 155k there is 30k that can be used by the customer for trade in /deposit This amount is not offered by multi franchise so what happens to the 30 k..? does multi franchise retatin this? is the assesor and outside dealers in cahoots? where does that 30 k go.
