Dont bother with KIA the service is atrocious

I purchased my Sportage AWD CRDi at KIA bryanston almost 4 years ago and have been servicing my car there ever since. In general I havent had the best service there but it is convenient for me.

Two days ago I took my car in for replacement of the compressor for the aircon (R20k). After giving me the total cost for the job, the manager and service consultant told me I had to pay a 50% deposit. This was now apparently 'NEW POLICY' -regardless of the fact that I was leaving my car there and of all the years of business that I have given to this branch I was looked at as though I could not afford!!

Authorisation was given 1st thing in the morning and was still told I would only get my car back 2 days later because the part would now only be collected late in the afternoon - yet again - no effort made to accommodate a loyal customer - and again I was told this is 'POLICY'.

This experience has been the last straw with KIA and I will be gladly trading my car in to return to the germans and never looking back. We pay a premium at Merc and BMW but its well worth it and good riddens.

If KIA south africa continue to be this rigid with customer service they can expect alot more of these.
