Content to let you drive of in a death trap!!

After buying a supposedly brand new Accent at Hatfield, I had the rude awakening of the worst after sales service - and come to think of it, PRE sales negligence - ever!

Knowing about possible shock absorber faults and knowing that I live more than 200km from their dealership, they neglected to tell me about this possibility. As it worked out, I had to find out from the dealership in Louis Trichardt that the shock absorbers and coils was in fact, totally worn out. At 700km on the clock!

Phoned Hatfield to complain-the saleslady just said that the report on the pre-delivery check says that the car was perfect when I received it and the person who drove 122km (in Pretoria!) to have a towbar and smash and grab windows installed did not find anything wrong with the car.

Now, I am stranded in Louis Trichardt. 300 km from where I live. No dealership has any shocks. I am not allowed to fit generic shocks eg. Gabriel, Armstrong as it will apparently nullify the warantee.

Hatfield is totally unwilling/unable to arrange for a rental car (I can do that at my own expense and claim R500 back from Hyundai - whoohoo)

Spent Friday and Saturday trying to get a solution. NO JOY!

It is now Sunday...
