Car broke down on weekend and was towed to Hay Hoe Motors. I called every 2nd day to find out what was happening. They were sourcing parts. After two weeks (they never phoned me at all) was informed that I would need a reconditioned engine. Was told it would take 3 days to get engine and 2 days to fit. Was quoted R12500 for the engine and R3000 to fit. 2 weeks later (a Friday) called and told car would be ready at 2 pm. I arrived and waited until 4:30 to be told I would get my car the next day, Saturday. On Saturday nobody working. They had my car for 4 weeks. On Monday called, car was not ready. This went on until Thursday. I got my car back almost 5 weeks after taking it there. The bill not R15500 as quoted but R24 964! I paid under protest. Next drove the car on following Wednesday. I travelled about 5 Kms before the car broke down. I called Glen who promised to send somebody. Waited over 5 hrs for tow truck. A week later same story on Freeway at peak hours. Got car back on Friday. Eng. mgt. and door open lights on dash on permanently. Car not pulling well. I am 62 yr old pensioner with heart & diabetes problems. I think I am being ripped off. They advertise RMI but not
