Imperial Ford And Mazda
Poor worksmanship

My 1996 model 220 Camry blew a top gasket. They replaced the gasket and valve stem seals, skimmed the top without lineboring the cam seats causing the cam shaft to break while I drove the car within two weeks after repairs car. As I opened the bonnet, I found lots of evidence of poor worksmanship like loose electrical cables, air cleaner clip loose, one top engine mounting totally loose to mention a couple for more than R7000.
The car went back for repairs, after i received it back, it consumed about 2 liters oil within 600km of driving. I returned it and they mention that the engine is burning oil because of wear which lead to weak compression inside ciliindre chambers. (note: this was not the case before I took it to them) I asked them (Dirk - manager) to quote me to repair the engine in order to get the compression sorted - he quoted me a new block to the value of about R27 000.
You decide for yourselve how this is possible!
