Recently my bikes' engine had 'seized'. (please note the bike was not bought there but i have always used them for any problems i have experienced) I had asked for my bike to be looked at and asked for a quote as to how much it would be to have it fixed. When the quoted amount came back, it was a bit out of my budget and i had told them to leave it. The consultant had then texted me to let me know the bike must be collected as her shop is very full. I paid an amount of R450 for the labour and pick up of the bike as quoted.
When my bike was fetched on Tuesday the 1st, the bike was in tact but my engine was handed to me in pieces in a box???
When I called the next morning, she couldn't explain why it was like that and had a mechanic explain to me that i had paid for a 'strip and quote' but that was not on the initial quotation or did she at any time explain that, that was going to happen. Now i'm sitting with an engine that can't even be quoted by another company because of the state it is in! They now want to charge me an additional amount to put it back together, but i refuse to pay more for something that i have already paid for!
