My 3 l Ranger was serviced only last week but on Tuesday this week my wife got stuck on a highway with a loose gear lever. Yes, Ford got the AA eventually to tow her in as the vehicle is still under the 3 year warranty but frankly when Allen Joss in Pretoria charged her 545 R for 2 nuts and bushes to fix the gear lever we now have enough of Ford! With less than 50 k on the clock it is simply unacceptable that a gear lever should come loose and this should not be covered by the warranty. Don't call this quality built especially as this is now already the 3rd trouble we have.
And just in case anybody and Ford should care - which I doubt - you have just lost a customer: The Ranger will now be replaced with an Isuzu or an Amarok and the Kuga we intended to buy we will most certainly no longer buy. Times since Henry Ford could offer the Model T 'in any colours you like as long as it is black' are luckily over!
