I'm an international student from Germany and rented a car from Budget Stellenbosch. After having formed the contract, the consultant in the branch made me aware of an existing special offer for international rentees. This offer would grant me unlimited kilometres whereas the option (for locals) I was presented contained a limit of 150 kilometres even though I provided my international passport.
As I asked the consultant to adjust the contract she advised this was not possible anymore. I called the Stellenbosch branch asking for the adjustment of the contract once again, however, the consultant (Kelly) understood my request and told me she would confirm with her manager.
I waited on the line while she asked her manageress (Sherry) who I could hear yelling at her telling her that they would not adjust my contract and I had to present my international documents forehand (contrary to initial advice). I then asked to speak to the manageress myself who said she would only assist me on my next visit to South Africa.
Budget is highly recommended in my home country. Hence, I expected exceptional service and I am very disappointed. Please assist in this Regard?
