I rented a car (Polo Vivo 1.4) from First Car Rental in Hatfield in Pretoria through my insurance King Price a month ago. I was given this number 181 563 9 as number. I was requested to return the car with full tank and when returning a car I poured R490.00 of petrol to fill it up and during the inspection of the car it was cleared that the car is full and there was no need to double check it with the filling station. The company held R650.00 of my deposit which was supposed to be refunded, however, to my surprise I was sent R436.03 as my refund which is R213.97 less than what I am supposed to get. I know to some this might seem to be a small amount of money but to a hungry orphan child that lives below a poverty line of $1.2 a day, this can be translated to a month supply of meal.

I am strongly against these companies that will take consumers for a ride and rob them their hard earned salaries on small scales but the multiple effects of this practice to customers that fall prey to these unscrupulous companies makes a huge impact to their balance sheet.

All I am saying to First Car Rental is to give me back what is due to me and nothing else.
