Beware of R596.00 Major Service Promotion

I saw a promotion Kessel Motors was offering - Major Service for R596.00. The price was right for my budget so I called the CDB store, talked to the receptionist & asked when I could drop my car off for the R596.00 Major Service promotion Note: I was NOT asked what car I would be dropping off and that the promotion does NOT cover all vehicles.

I drive a 2001 Chrysler Neon and dropped my car off two days later as requested by the receptionist. I told her that I would like to drop my car off for the Major Service promotion and pointed to the BIG poster displaying the offer for R596.00. Note: I was not told that the promotion does NOT cover my car.

I get a phone call from Francois in the afternoon with the usual other things that need to be done ie: fuel system/line cleaner, throttle body cleaner, oil booster which have ALL been quoted on 3 other cars I have taken to Kessel Motors??? Find it strange that ALL the cars had the SAME things faulty. Assume it is just a general list they use. I said I ONLY wanted the oil change done which was covered under the Major Service promotion. I was then I was told that my total for the major service is R1200.00.
