Nissan South Africa
Carion CD player in Navara cant be fixed

I had a cd stuck in my Navara 2008 Clarion Radio/cd player for the first time in 4 years. Nissan Woodmead sent this to Fixtrade1750 to repair but they only replace, and at the cost of a new Clarion radio as per web prices, first R7000, then R4000 only for replacing the cd feeder. Fixtrade and Clarion contradict themselves by insisting that a 4 year old radio needs replacement parts instead of repair. Not accepting the repair cost they wanted to charge me R350 for looking at it. A new Navara radio costs R20 000. I've always insisted OEM service and repair with Nissan dealerships but am forced to repair myself or go outside approved service agencies due to rip off prices and unreasonable charges. Nissan Woodmead has not suggested a reasonable repair alternative. I will never to go Nissan for a service again.
