If there are any Mercedes owners out there who are considering going over the heads of agents to complain to Mercedes Benz SA, don't bother you'll hit a brick wall of arrogance and lack of interest!
I merely contacted MB SA to ask for help in understanding why my MB needed so many major repairs (C180).
Here is the official Mercedes Benz SA's response copied from their memo:
It is necessary to point out during the life span of any vehicle certain maintenance and repair work can become necessary from time to time. The life expectancy of a vehicle or its individual parts or components cannot be predicted as there are too many different factors exerting their influence during the operation of the vehicle.
The natural risk of repair that goes with operating a motor vehicle cannot be transferred solely to the area of responsibility of the manufacturer and for the entire service life of an automobile and its parts.
Well there you have it and they then went on to suggest that should I not be happy with their response, I am welcome to contact the motor industry's ombudsman.
Oh well what was previously a MB admirer now has become a dissatisfied owner.
