Ford
Very poor attitude to inferior product

I purchased a brand new Ford Ranger double cab from Fury Sandton on the 4 April.

on the day of delivery there was a list of concerns.
1. The running boards were missing (factory fitted)
2. There was a paint defect (run marks) on left rear.
3. The rubberising was not complete. (half job)

after 7 visits to the dealership, these items were rectified

at 400km the above issues were noted.
1. Fuel gauge reading incorrect. (left me stranded 3 times without fuel whilst showing fuel available)
this has been looked at twice by Fury Sandton. still the same.
2. The vehicle smokes excessively.
3. there is scratches on the tailgate from rubberising repair.
4. the center consol was distorted.
5. The right front seat drops height by itself.
6. the window rubbers on both front doors are distorted / folding over.
7. there is rust on the rear drums and front suspension bolts.
8. the air is smelly.
9. the right front door edge sticker has defect/ bubbles.

I have called the Ford South Africa call centre 21 times to date.
I opened up 2 customer care cases.
I have repeatedly asked for Ford SA to inspect the vehicle.
I am 3 months down the road and nothing has been resolved as yet.
