I responded to an add for a 2008 BMW 320i placed by McCarthy Toyota N1 City.
I phoned the salesperson and asked if the car was still available and he replied yes.
After my visit to the dealer I signed an offer to purchase. The bank approved the deal and I was presented by the salesperson with their banking details, suggesting the deposit to be paid. I was in contact with the salesperson on a daily basis and came to the point where we discussed delivery dates. To my surprise, I received an email informing me that the car has been sold to someone else whom signed an OTP days before me. The sales manager Mr. Bekker put all the blame on the salesperson and describes him as new and inexperienced, but also informed me that he was expecting my call. The dealer principal, Mr. Peter Vermaak did not return my call. This is not the way to treat your customers and next time before you complain about the poor economy, remember the customers you have lost due to unfair business practices. Remember your motto, "Our People deliver"
