I bought a luxury SUV from Anton de Clerq at Paarweg Motors for R 400 000.00 two months ago. Within days I found that there where major mechanical defaults on the car that was not disclosed up front. After confronting the man, he promised to have it sorted. However after attempt number 3 it was clear I was getting the run around. After confronting Anton the after his last attempt, Mr de Clerq casually informed me that he is not spending a further cent on the vehicle and that he is walking away from the problem and the car.
I was left with no choice but to revert to the Motor Industry Ombudsman and the Consumer Protection Service for a full refund on the vehicle Anton de Clerq tried to sell. Must say we as consumers should use this service more often, I found them very helpful and knowledgeable on the law and the Consumer Protection Act.
Who does Anton de Clecq or Paarlweg Motors think they are to imagine they can sell faulty products and get away with this...?
Dealers such as Paarlweg Motors and and people like Anton de Clerq unfortunately give the second hand car dealerships a bad name..!
