This morning at 6:01 I filled my Car with UNLEADED PETROL (95 OCTANE) at the Sasol Garage at Lyttelton Manor (Cnr Selborne and Trichardt Ave). I left and had Car Trouble approximately 12 Kms down the road. After my car was towed to the nearest Dealer, and the mechanic indicated that my car (petrol propelled Toyota Auris) was filled with DIESEL. I proceeded to phone the owner of the garage and he confirmed (extremely rude - good thing I have a recording of the phone call) that SASOL (the manufacturers) fuelled the "wrong tanks" with Diesel instead of Fuel.
I then proceeded to phone Sasol itself to confirm and they indicated that it is "impossible". So now I would like to know who is to blame as this is criminal (malicious damage to property).
Now my car is damaged, I am inconvenienced (for two days whilst it is getting repaired) and I lost a tank of petrol because of Both these Parties. Further, I have to pay to have this fixed myself and I can guarantee you... I will not get my money back.
Stay away from SASOL garages!!!
