Plastic in Pie

2 weeks ago we bought a Piemans Pie from our Spar in Pinetown Durban for my 3 year old son, when my son bit into the pie we noticed that he was having difficulty chewing and he started to choke, when we opened his mouth to check what was wrong to our shock we found a large piece of plastic. Fortunately he hadn't swallowed any of the plastic. The pie also had the plastic in left in it. As we shop regularly at the Pinetown Spar my wife returned the pie the next day and spoke to the Manager Roy who said he would escalate with Piemans and get the rep to collect and contact us. We received a call from Piemans stating they will collect the pie and notify us accordingly. What was most disappointing and appalling was that we received No Apology for the incident from the person we spoke to. We have since followed up with our Spar as we have received no further response from Piemans.
It is shocking that a reputable brand like Piemans would treat their customers this manner without taking any responsibility for what happened. In terms of the CPA this behavior is unacceptable.
