On Tuesday, April 23rd, I went to the Ocean Basket in Tyger Valley, for dinner. At first our waiter, Winter, was great. He took our orders promptly, and checked up on us regularly. We waited a while for our food, even though others around us received their food even though they ordered after us. When my order came, the "World Famous Fish & Chips" I was surprised to see that there was rice on my dish. NOWHERE on the menu does it state that it comes with rice. I sent it back, and when me food came back it was cold, and looked horrible. I probably had less than a potato's worth of chips, and they were ice cold. The fish was dry and did not have the lemon butter sauce on it that I've always gotten before. I just ate it because at this stage I was starving. Although there was also an issue with my dessert, management did sort this out, but not without a lecture from the manager. Rude! When we asked for our bill, we waited for 10 minutes. When I went to look for Winter, he was nowhere to be found. The manager was cashing up, and wasn't bothered about helping us. I will NEVER go back to that restaurant, and will not recommend it to anyone. Such a pity, because OB used to my favourite.
