We celebrated my father's 60th on Monday we decided to go to Ocean Basket Tyger Valley. Was helped immediately by Thabo who served us very well. But was sadly treated very badly by the Manager "Leane"
An order of calamari rings was not cooked properly. We asked Leane if she could call our waiter. She asked if she could help instead of which we explained, she turned around got a Spoon and pan and bent over two of our guests and scooped out the calamari. A few min later she returned and scooped the calamari out into the plate as if she was dishing out scraps for a dog. Before paying for the bill my mother requested to speak to her and just inform her that she was not pleased with the way she had handled the food. She replies with: this is the way they do thing there. Needless to say his birthday was spoilt and she (Leane) replies with "you spoilt your own bday". My dad then said he doesn't even feel that he would want to pay for the meal, with which Leane replied that she will call the Cops if he didn't. If this is how customers are being treated and in their advertisements they advertise a home away from Home. Ambiance, Family. This was definitely not experienced at Ocean Basket.
